Fibre Reinforced Electrodialysis Membranes
The fibre reinforced electrodialysis membranes are used in Paint deposition booths. The process of deposition by such means is called electrophoresis. The membranes used in such a process are used for the removal of unwanted Anions or Cations produced during the process form the Paint bath.
Electrodialysis membranes are Ion Selective membranes which allow only Anions or Cations (Anion Selective or Cation Selective membranes) depending upon the membrane type to pass through themselves form the solutions. These membranes work under the influence of a DC current or in other words the driving force in the membranes is the Electrical force (DC) unlike the RO membranes where the driving force is the pressure.
A system consisting of a Anode, Membrane and the accessories required for circulation of anolyte is called a tube cell.
